The Oscoda County Sheriff’s Office seasonally manages a marine patrol, a snowmobile patrol, and an ORV (Off Road Vehicle) patrol. The purpose of these special patrols is to promote the safe use of our many waterways and trails, to respond to emergency situations and to investigate accidents.
The Sheriff’s Office holds various classes, free to the public, throughout the year to teach the safe operation of all types of recreational vehicles including watercraft, snowmobiles and ORV’s. Dates and times for these classes are posted on our website, on the Department of Natural Resources website, and in the local school publications.
