Duties of the Building Department

The Oscoda County Building Department handles all permit applications and inspections for building, electrical, plumbing, mechanical and soil erosion. Zoning permits, where needed, are obtained at the township offices.

The Building Department also handles the Rental Housing Program. Registration of Rental Housing or questions on the program should be directed to Tim Whiting.
